Video: Sports Psychology. Athletes must visualize success before
actually completing the attempt. Being in the “zone” is something that
can be achieved on command but it takes a certain state of mind for this
come to fruition. We’ve all been there for periods of time but somehow
our brain gets in the way and its lost then we have to find it again. IMO,
the Legend of Bagger Vance is the best Sports Psychology movie ever made
(it also applies to more than sports). I’ve heard some people say that
learning how to snatch and CJ (because there is only 1 attempt at a time)
is like learning how to swing a golf club so there is some applicability
here. Please watch these clips and come to class ready to implement.
