Originally from Le Grand, California, I am currently finishing my last semester at Arizona State University. I will be graduating in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. After graduation I will be teaching first grade at Legacy Traditional School in Gilbert!
I began Crossfit towards the end of 2012; I started coaching Crossfit in 2015. At first, Crossfit was simply an alternative to the regular gym atmosphere that provided little motivation for me. Shortly into my journey with Crossfit, I found the community pleasantly welcoming and extremely inspiring. I was motivated by the drive and commitment of my fellow members, and I aspired to push myself harder as an athlete than ever before.
I knew I'd been transformed from someone who works out to someone who loves working out when I decided to become a Certified Crossfit Trainer. I especially enjoy coaching because it provides me with the opportunity to guide and help others on their journey with Crossfit just as they do for me.
In addition to Crossfit, I am a lover of the outdoors, dogs, and donuts!

I was born and raised in Arizona and regardless where we live, Arizona will always be our home! I played competitive soccer, softball, Lacrosse and swim. I also took Olympic lifting for 3 years during high school. Shortly after high school, I married my husband Ian and we now have 3 beautiful little girls.
In 2011 I fell in love with CrossFit after my second daughter was born. I had been searching for something to replace my competitive drive that I had when I played sports. Regular gyms didn’t satisfy me and running wasn’t enough. CrossFit and the community grabbed me and it was love at first Site!
My love for this sport, the community and the desire to share my knowledge and help others transform their lives grows every day!

I was born and raised here in Arizona and love it. I have always been involved in sports my entire life and played softball, volleyball and basketball at many levels. I went on to play 4 years collegiate basketball where I graduated from Grand Canyon University in 2007 with a degree in Sociology in hopes to one-day help people. During that time I married my best friend Joe and we have been blessed with two children Avary who is 5 and Drake who is 2.
I started Crossfit in June of 2013 with no real background in Olympic lifting or gymnastics. My main motivation at first was to lose the unwanted baby weight. I loved Crossfit from the first day. The concepts in CrossFit and the community grabbed a hold of me and I have never let go. I love seeing people of all ages; levels of fitness come into Crossfit and be successful. It has become a part of my life and I have a great desire to help others find the joy and enthusiasm of living an active life.

I was born and raised all over the world, while my father was serving in the U.S. Air Force, but I am a Texan at heart. I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force as a Security Forces member right after high school at the age of 18 following in the footsteps of my father and hell-bent on making a difference and saving lives. I served in several locations overseas in the Pacific, Europe and deployed to the middle-east in support of OIF & OEF.
When I was stationed overseas back in 2012, I was targeted by a local national who was an anti-American radical who had a personal vendetta towards U.S. Military servicemen and women. He shot me with a shotgun and slug shot at point blank range nearly taking my arm off. Without the use of my forearm and hand, I elected for an amputation to utilize a prosthetic arm for a higher quality of life and working out more efficiently.
The reason I am so passionate about CrossFit is because it was the only constant in my life that was not taken away from me that night. I was doing CrossFit before my injury, and now I'm continuing it after. Charlie Mike to Recovery is what it's all about, Continuing Mission to Recovery. Now I'm a CrossFit Trainer and will continue coaching and acquiring as much knowledge as possible to help others, especially other wounded veterans on their road to recovery as I work for the non-profit organization Wounded Wodders.
